“Ten Ideas to Improve LUCT Overall”

Students are one of the best assets of a university or a college and every student want to have the best quality of education. Universities are one of the most populated places you could see every day, and every one having their own business. A school is composed of different components; we have the students, teachers, lectures, facilities, faculties, events, rules, regulations and are all having their own function enable to run an entire university. Basically these are what a school is made of and whenever a researcher or a scientist want to solve a problem, he starts from looking from the inside, dissect every element and start carving from the roots wherein we should begin to achieve improvement to take effect as a whole. In improving a university the following should be considered:

1. Identify the problem. The first step in scientific method could help in improvement. One should always ask “what is the problem?” and consider the opinion of others. Identifying the source of dissatisfaction in students through surveying could be a head start in determining where to fix issues.

2.   Engage with students. Cooperation is the process of groups of organisms working or acting together for common or mutual benefit, as opposed to working in competition for selfish benefit. Management and students should cooperate together to a common goal or purpose because tasks can easily be done by working together and listening to each other, ensuring that students connect and collaborate with faculty effectively.

3.   Focus on students. Students contribute to what most a school is made up. Considering their needs and valuing your students would make them feel like they belong to a family, in this way unified community and a good relationship is being build up. Understanding and listening to their voice could increase respect to the management gradually, it’s like the idea of doing good to others which creates a ripple effect that would later be given back unto you.

4.   Minimize time accessing services. Optimizing time and using it efficiently would make a day and employees more productive. This would help the organization spend and save their money in the best way which can be used in constructing new infrastructures and renovations of facilities. Locating student services centrally which would decrease waiting times and improve the quality and expertise of staff. Putting up automated machines would eliminate some issues and save time.

5.   Good leader and management. Of course leaders must be good managers with experience of leadership, but that should be assumed. Best universities are led by outstanding scholars and also that better scholars improve the future performance of universities. Smart leaders could employ and construct a good management. A leader represents its members or group. He could be the face of the future of the organization and morale is a motivation towards success. Characteristics are important criteria in choosing a leader because it will later reflect on his people on how they manage every activity or situation.

6.   Produce the best students. Wouldn’t it be nice to hear that a student who came from your university just top the bar exams? This is one way of gaining popularity, when someone is nurtured enough and well trained this could be one of the fruit of hard work. A student who is currently shining wouldn’t be the only one being noticed but also to where he/she came from and who produced this student.

7.   Hire the best. People who run a university are good foundation in making its name be on the top. Don’t just advertise think about who the perfect candidate might be. Screen your personnel and conduct interviews that will help you know how a person will act towards its future job. When conducting the interview, it would be better to treat the interviewee in a friendly way than an intense one, in this way he/she will act normally and will tend to be more honest about his/her answers.

8.   Connect with professionals. Asking for help does not mean you’re weak enough to stand alone, it means you are willing to learn, listen and improve through others. Professionals like researchers can make suggestions and proven strategies on ways to go up, these are reliable people that can guide the organization and do experiments to come up with the best formula to success.

9.      Upgrade Equipment and Facilities. Purchasing equipment frequently used or upgrading shows that you are giving importance to your students and not left behind advanced technology. The idea of upgrading may cost the organization some amount but risking enable to move along would be better than being stuck on one place miles away from a brighter future. This would increase performance output of beneficiaries and make them work faster. New equipment and upgraded facilities attracts more students and could make your school on the top rank offering best quality of learning experience.

10.   Organized system. We can only expect a good flow if there are organized system. A system is a set of procedure we follow; it’s a series of connections to form a whole, university, offices, and government services uses system usually to perform a work faster and in a harmonized way. If an organization implements a good system then issues and complaints would be less and services would be complemented for its good performance and outstanding work.

  These are some ideas that could help LUCT improve overall. Some are already common and are just overlooked. In improving something one should be keen and observant. Plans are also made to know the series of steps, but plans should not just stay as plans, the organization should introduce them into reality to see how it works. The most important thing here is that different sides should be given the opportunity to speak and to be heard. Ideas are ways to move up, every one seeks to improve or go forward but it also requires cooperation enable to work as a team to achieve goals and succeed at every task.

The Image shows the evolution of devices used to communicate. The upper half shows an old phone with an antenna, while the lower half is a touch screen new model phone. It shows how mode of communication is improved through the years and is always considered as the main feature of every phone. A phone is commonly used because it is the fastest way to reach someone and can be carried anywhere you go.

                                                        

The picture depicts the face of a young boy and an adult man and are both smiling. The picture expresses happiness which is caused by just communicating with others.  It could be a result of a good news or information being acquired through that day. You may be called by your boss and just promoted you from your job, or received your high grades. By merely talking to people someone can already alter your mood. It can make you happy, sad, or disappointed. These emotions depend on how the message can have impact on others.

                                                                                                  

The last picture I picked for the juxtaposition part are two people communicating in different ways, the woman on the left is a customer service representative, while the other  woman on the right was using her  phone having a small talk to a friend. These are some of different importance of communication. You can use it in performing your job, spreading news, advertising, or just simply saying “hi” to someone and ask how they are doing. It is the way of connecting us to different people we already know, and those we do have not known yet.
